Student Ministry Frequently Asked Questions

What is your style of ministry?
We are. . .

• Gospel-centered: We hope to graduate godly, not good, kids from this ministry. The birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are central in all of our teaching.
• Supplemental: We do not replace parents or take over the parental role of discipleship. Our goal is to assist, encourage and supplement parents as they fulfill the biblical command to train children up in the ways of the Lord.
• Relational: We value relationships and believe that the Christian life was never meant to be lived out alone.

What annual events do you hold?

• Planet Wisdom Student Conference: February. Planet Wisdom is a weekend out-of-town retreat.
• Student Life Camp: June or July.  Camp is a five-day-long, retreat, usually on a college campus, where students experience worship, biblical teaching, and great times of fun and interaction with their fellow students and leaders.
• Additional Events throughout the year include mission project days, parties for Christmas, back to school, end of school, game nights, etc.

What do you teach?
We believe that behavior modification is only temporary if the underlying motivations and heart conditions aren’t properly dealt with.  We present the gospel, teach the Bible, and pray for heart-transformation. The Holy Spirit has to do this work. We strive to create an environment for students to connect with and be transformed by the Holy Spirit.

• E-mail: Student Ministry Updates are periodically sent out throughout the year
• Mailouts. Important information concerning events and programs are mailed out as necessary throughout the year.
