Ministry Team 

• Gary has been the pastor at SBC since August 1996.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a Bachelors in Business Administration.  He received his Master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry from Southwestern as well.  He and his wife Nicole have four children and have been wonderfully blessed by all God has done here at SBC.

• Amanda has been the Minister of Children at Second Baptist since May 2008.  She is from Warren, Arkansas and attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She attained a BA Music in December of 2007. Prior to coming to SBC, Amanda served as summer Children's Ministry Intern at First Baptist Church in Warren, AR for two years. She also served as Preschool staff at LifeWay Ridgecrest Conference Center in North Carolina. She is truly a blessing to our church.

• Tom recently graduated from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois with a BS in Contemporary Christian Music.  Before to coming to SBC, Tom served 2 years as the Assistant Youth Pastor of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Greenville, Illinois.  He and his wife Lindsey are both from Owasso, Oklahoma.  Second Baptist is blessed to have him on our ministry team.

• Rachel is a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  She graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in elementary education and early childhood development.  She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from Stephen F. Austin State University. Rachel has previously taught, among other places, at Terrell Christian Academy in Terrell, TX and also at Alpha Omega Academy here in Huntsville.  Rachel is from Huntsville and is married to her husband Thomas.  They have two wonderful daughters.  If you would like to discuss your interest in the preschool with Rachel, she would be happy to meet with you.
