Worship

We desire that SBC be a place where people can connect to God, to know Him and genuinely sense His presence.  Connecting to God is the greatest experience a person can have, but it's crucial that we understand how someone connects with the Creator of this universe.  In the wisdom of God He revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Jesus is God in human form; fully God and fully human and so He alone is the way we connect to the Father.

What we discover in the Bible is that we are able to connect with God on a personal level through faith in Jesus.  Jesus says in John 14:6 that no one is able to come to the Father except through Him.  We must receive Jesus in faith to begin this unique personal relationship.  Regardless of what we may have heard, there is no other way.

At Second Baptist Church, either our contemporary worship service at 9 AM or our traditional service at 11 AM are great times for people at any stage of their journey with Jesus to get connected.
