Gary Garrison has been the Pastor here at Second Baptist since 1996 and the years have been an incredible blessing him and his family. He and his wife Nicole graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with degrees in Business. They were married the summer of 1991 and now have four great kids! Gary received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995 and his wife received her Master’s Degree from Sam Houston State University in 2000; she presently teaches in the Business Department at SHSU. Gary and Nicole love the church and the city of Huntsville and look forward to seeing all that Jesus has in store for their family and our church family. Jesus is Lord!
Craig has been on staff since October 2011. He serves as our Student
and College Pastor. Craig is a graduate of Louisiana Baptist University
and has been in full time ministry since 2001. He has served in
ministries in Texas, Illinois and Romania. He is married to Lindsey and
they have 3 children, Canyon, Hunter and Nicole. In his free time he
enjoys golf, movies and spending time with his family. He is also an
avid sports fan. He loves students and wants to make a difference for
Jesus Christ.
Rachel Warren has been the preschool minister here at SBC since April 2007 and the children’s minister since August 2010. Rachel and her husband Thomas are both from Huntsville. She graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a degree in Elementary Education specializing in Early Childhood Education. Rachel and Thomas have two wonderful children. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and shopping.
Leah Bell has worked with the Weekday Preschool program since its opening in August 2007. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in May of 2009 with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and minor in Political Science. She is currently seeking her Teaching Certification in an alternative program. Leah and her Husband, Brad, are both from Centerville, TX and have been married since June 2006. In February 2010, they welcomed their daughter, Maylee into their lives. Brad is currently Assistant Manager at the Wal-Mart in Conroe. They love spending time together as a family, especially outdoors. Leah knows that God has led her to this ministry, and loves being a part of children growing in Christ.
Virginia Coleman was born August 26 at Decatur, Texas and is the oldest of three siblings - a sister and two brothers. She is married to Don and will celebrate fifty wonderful years of marriage this June. She has two wonderful children. Bryan and his wife Andrea live in Dallas, Texas. He is Senior Audit Director for Bank of America and Andrea works for Mary K Cosmetics. Kari and her husband Ron are Missionaries to Thailand. She has one "grand dog".
She attended Decatur Baptist College (now Dallas Baptist University) and Sam Houston State University. She retired from Huntsville Independent School District after 27 years in the Payroll department. She enjoys reading, gardening and traveling.
Sue Robinson is a recent transplant to Texas. She and Mark have been married since 1967 and have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
She has had a varied career including: soldiers wife, pastors wife, school bus driver, apple sorter, retail sales, a 15 year career with developmentally disables and mentally ill children and adults, staff secretary at a college and most recently a 12 year stint as an administrative assistant to a senior pastor.
Sue and Mark have begun a new part of their journey with God by moving to Texas to be close to their family and have found a new family at Second Baptist. They eagerly wait to see where God will take them next.
